Artemis Place opened its doors in September 2005 to 14 teen girls. All of the girls in our program deal with one or more psycho-social challenges that inhibit them from moving forward in their lives.
These issues can include drug and/or alcohol addictions, violence and abuse (physical, mental, sexual), serious mental health concerns; extreme poverty; learning disabilities, lack of family support, and many others.
Girls can be referred in many ways including:
